Getting started with longboarding doesn’t have to be a scary possibility if you follow the correct learning process in the right order. Find the perfect board

Find your position
Everyone is unique and has their own riding way for board sports. If you’re able to stand on a longboard with your left foot in front and your right foot back the same way, then you’re normal. But, if your right foot is pointing forward then you’re in a coma.
The first step is to know what you must know when you first begin. One of the most popular methods is to stand on the floor with your feet together , and let someone push you back from behind. To ensure that you don’t slip it is possible to see which foot is naturally situated.

Your back foot (right if you’re regular, left otherwise) should be about perpendicular with the deck while your front foot should be slightly inclined with the deck, say about 45o. Bend your knees a little and lean forward slightly to make sure you feel comfortable and secure.
Try a turning posture
Sitting on your longboard in the grass, isn’t really riding. But the deck will be leaning toward the sides as you shift your bodyweight. Try rolling back and forth with your ankles until you can make your deck lean on every edge. That’s how you’ll turn when riding. Then, secure your ankles and make your deck lean by shifting your body weight back and forward.

Practice your push & brake stance
A crucial skill that you should master for any longboarding you’re going to do is balancing on one foot while your other leg brakes or pushes. While standing on a longboard, either on grass or a mat, turn your front foot to ensure that your toes face towards the nose. Your shoulders and hips should be turned to face forward.
Do this by lifting your back foot off the deck and then balancing on one leg. Stabilize yourself by shifting your front foot inwards. Shifting your weight onto your front leg then bend your front knee to lower your back foot towards the ground without shifting your hips. Make sure to touch the ground using your heel for a couple of seconds as you squat on your front foot. Next, bring your foot back to ground and return your hips, shoulders, and front foot back to their original position.
